The bus ride itself is bad enough. However, the wait at the bus stop doesn’t add much to the experience. It’s freezing today. It’s no longer raining heavily, but the air is wet and cold. I’m standing, shivering, and awkwardly balanced; my heavy purse draped over my right elbow, and my iPod and umbrella clenched in my left hand. I don’t know whether or not to be glad that I didn’t manage to find a good pair of boots at the mall. I have enough to carry as it is.
